I've moved things on quite rapidly with this upcoming Spring's FIRE Escape. I've booked the dates and location! Check out the video to find out more..... or just read below! Due to time pressures, I've taken the call to go ahead and book a location/dates. This is a risk on my behalf, but I'm comfortable with it. I said I was going to commit to dates and locations last year, and I've just not prioritised it highly enough - and for that I'm sorry! Warren Buffet also spoke to me in my dreams last night and said "If you book it, they'll come". So I've decided to take his advice, grab the bull by the horns, take a leap of faith, and just book it! On a more serious note, I've organised a few of these weekends now and having worked through your previous feedback, I believe I have a good sense of what people are looking for overall. I know that I'll never make everyone happy, nor am I attempting to. My goal is to try and expand on the previous weekends, and make the next one as enjoyable and rich as possible. The one area I haven't been able to fulfill is public transport. I'm willing to work through this issue by offering lifts to people that can get to Welshpool by train. Last time I suggested a figure around the £20-30, and I'm happy to discuss payments above or below that if you think it warrants it. I will pass all monies back onto the people that stop over to make it as cheap as possible for them, as they make the weekend happen. ZERO profits are made from the weekends!
FIRE Escape - Summer & Autumn 2016? I received a request on my Blog to announce the dates for the summer and autumn in advance so people can plan around it. I'm happy to set some dates to work towards, however, I'm not prepared to pay for the accommodation myself this far in advance. Therefore, I would review what options are remaining on those specific dates 2-3 months prior and book whatever's left. This will mean that location might have to go out of the window (ie. down south, up north, London etc) and I'll have to opt for what's left for the dates. Or Would you prefer we keep things as they are? One at a time, dates and location decided 2-3 months before? I'm comfortable with both approaches, please let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
